OUR VERY OWN MARATHON RUNNER On an un-seasonally hot sunny day, 15,000 runners set off from Preston Park for an early start to the Brighton Marathon. Included in this number was our very own Jo Greenwood who completed the 26.2 mile course in 5 hours 30 minutes. Jo was exhausted but delighted with all the support en route who spurred her on her way, and from all the very kind sponsors. Jo has raised a fantastic total of £666 for Helping Hands - there may be a sign there not to do it again. We really appreciate all her efforts on our behalf, not only as a runner, but also as one of our most valued volunteers.|

Helping Hands joins Hyman Fine for tea On 3rd April, we held our regular tea at the Hyman Fine House. It was a good crowd with a good atmosphere, accompanied by Jonathan Adams on the accordion. A lovely tea was provided by the home and enjoyed by all. We would like to also thank our new bus driver, Barry Hill, who joined our volunteer team recently|
