
The bus is available for hire by Jewish organisations in Brighton & Hove and surrounding areas.

We require at least 3 weeks' notice, unless you have a regular booking.
A £25 returnable deposit is needed to cover the cancellation fee.
Cancellations must be made at least 7 days in advance. There is no charge for hiring the bus, but fuel costs will apply.
Driver Requirements:
Helping Hands has 3 MIDAS trained volunteers, and if none are available, Community Transport (CT) can provide a driver for a fee.
We encourage organisations to find drivers with a D1 category on their licence and if they can commit to drive for Helping Hands at least twice a year, we can assist with the cost of the MIDAS test.

Fuel and Costs:
The bus is housed at Community Transport, which will invoice Helping Hands for fuel and any hired driver fees. We will pass these costs on to the organisation. Community Transport will hire the bus to the wider community when not in use by Helping Hands or other Jewish organisations, including on Shabbat and Chagim.
Helping Hands receives 25% of the income after costs are covered.
Community Transport will handle insurance, road fund licence, permits, safety checks, servicing, and cleaning.
