Summer Garden Party 2025 - at AJEX hall

On the 20th of July AJEX Hall was transformed into a lush indoor oasis, adorned with garlands of greenery and twinkling fairy lights.

From the moment guests stepped through the door, they were swept up in an atmosphere of warmth and friendship, with lively music setting the tone for an afternoon of conversation, dancing and delicious tea

Here's some wonderful e-mails we've received following the Lunch:

"Dear Sarah and all volunteers at Helping Hands.

I wish to offer a big thank you for yesterday's Winter Community Lunch. Also, for the uplifting entertainment from Bertie's singing accompanied by his guitar.

Bertie created a warm community spirit shared by everyone in the hall. Bertie's vocal resonance and joy was shared by his audience. With his popular song selection; especially the Neil Diamond iconic song of ' Sweet Caroline'.

I appreciate all the efforts from the cooks, table setters, washing up team, the welcome desk and waiters/ waitresses. Not forgetting, all of those drivers who patiently collect us and drive us to the venue; then home again after the event.

The cup of tea and chocolate money/ gelt gave a good cheer and well thought out farewell to the occasion.
